Welcome Spring
Can you believe that spring is right around the corner? It's kind of hard for me to fathom because we were blessed with 9 inches of snow last week.....it's all gone now but, Spring seems soooo far away!
I don't know about you, but it's been a LONG homeschool year so far and I have a bad case of the ""wipe-outs" and I could use a fresh start....so I'm ready to get organized! Spring cleaning Here I come!
This is the list of projects I'm planning to attack over the next 2 weeks:
1. Swap out all heavy duty winter clothes for spring & summer stuff
2. Clean out kids toy boxes & donate rarely used ones
3. Look for any expired in kitchen cabinets & refrigerator (clean both)
4. Go through all the random school papers & throw away one's not needed
5. Vacuum mattresses & underneath beds
6. Clean baseboards & Ceiling fans
7. Donate clothes that have not been worn in over a year
8. Clean yard (leftover leaves, paper, sticks etc.)
9. Sand & re-paint porch rockers
10. Plan, plow & fertilize plots for garden
11. Plant veggies & drink lemonade :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm quite sure I'll have much fun attacking all these projects. What are your plans for spring cleaning? Share please :)
I haven't really 'planned' anything for spring cleaning. I have already planned some things (God willing) for the warmer months...like trying to leave Chicago for a few days....and since I've planned to do a '6months in, 2wks out' type of program, we'll probably do homeschool on-the-go. I've already done all the progress reporting and junk that I'm going to do for right now. So other than maybe replacing my couch or something like that, nothing major I can think of.
ReplyDeleteHappy cleaning!
Ooooh getting out of chi-town...Now that's a good idea! we won't be going that route until August. I like the 6in & 2out program idea. It gives everyone a break and leaves wiggle room for chillin :) I still have not done my progress reports done yet. I like your list better than mine lol
DeleteSpring was here in Huntsville, two weeks ago it was in the 70's and Today it is 40 degrees! Spring cleaning has also started in this house, I already asked my hubbie to take the kids out so that I can clean by myself with no frustrations! It is just better that way, less fuss, crying and bad attitudes ( all this refers to me lol)! Enjoy ladies!
ReplyDeleteWOW! That sounds like amazing weather! Today the high is only 35 an we are expecting a bit of snow & rain over the weekend...ugh! On another note, hubby gets 20 points for taking the kids out while you clean and I TOTALLY understand the "frustration". While they are gone sneak & take a hot bath ;)
